Our BoatHers are down to some final details on their boat. This week was spent trimming the frames, rails and transom and attaching the cut water to the stem. The paint colors and name have been chosen. Up next, our exciting launch into the water! 🚣♀️

We hosted this year’s @botballrobotics competition at YDO 🤖 it was a day filled with food, family, robots, and so much excitement.
Our two teams shined, earning 2nd place in the seeding rounds and taking home the Judge’s Choice: Best Engineering Award 🎉

ydo Alum, Victor Rivera Jr, is a 2026 Truman Scholar through the @TrumanFoundation
He was selected as one of only 55 students nationwide, and he is the first Truman Scholar from @Marist to accomplish this! This Fellowship is a prestigious federal fellowship designed to help fund grad school for students who’ve demonstrated academic excellence, a commitment to public service and leadership, and plan to pursue graduate studies in public service! Victor’s selflessness and dedication to the public has always had such a positive impact on those around him. Go Victor!

ydo partnered with Carlos Cedeño (@ScholarsNetwork) to host our first Mock Interview Conference for our department of Upper School Transitions, directed by Ramon Tejada.
Local 7th graders practiced interviewing with high school administrators, building confidence and communication skills for the application process. Thank you to all of the participating schools!
